Program Director, Rhode Island
Crystal Moore has worked in the field of human services for more than eighteen years. Prior to working at LifeShare, she gained valuable experience as well as increased responsibilities working with adults with developmental disabilities in the areas of residential, day program, and employment services.
Crystal started her career as a Direct Support Professional. Through hard work, determination, and a passion for the individuals whom she supported, she made great strides in the field, working as a Group Home Manager, a Residential Coordinator, and then she was promoted to overseeing a department as Coordinator of Day Program/Family Supports and Employment Services.
Crystal has earned many certificates, including The National Certificate in Employment Services from Rhode Island College. She is also a Critical Incident Investigator trained by the Office of Quality Assurance in Rhode Island. Additionally, she faithfully volunteers for Special Olympics each year.
After joining LifeShare in 2013, Crystal was given an opportunity to move LifeShare to the next level; she is currently a Program Director and oversees the licensing process of new homes and Shared Living Providers, which is the future for participants as an alternative to group home living. She is eager and determined to assist in the growth and development of LifeShare in Rhode Island.
“LifeShare appreciates all people of all abilities and that is something that is truly remarkable,” she says. “I am honored to be a part of such a fantastic organization.”
